บทคัดย่อThe study objective was to provide Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) clinical flow cytometry laboratories in Thailand with reference ranges for the major lymphocyte lineage antigens through the use of an integrated quality control program. As an initial approach to establishing lymphocyte reference range values in Thai adults, a core study was conducted at three clinical sites (n=240). Reference ranges were determined for CD3 (T cells), CD4 (T helper/inducer cells), CD8 (T suppressor/cytotoxic cells), CD19 (B cells) and CD16+56 (NK cells). To expand on the initial observations, a network study was conducted with six MOPH clinical laboratories. Each site collected data on 50-60 healthy volunteers. Data collection at the six will be completed in April, 1995. Analysis of network data will involve comparision of lymphocyte distributions from each site to distributions from the core study. Consistency is instrumentation, reagents and precedures minimizes the influence of technical factors, reduces intralaboratory and interlaboratory variability and allows an investigation into potential biological factors that influence normal reference ranges.
